Why Bookmarks?

I have been readying for the launch of my magazine bookmarks. Very slowly, but surely, getting all the pieces together Reading is and will always be, my first love. One of my earliest memories is trotting down the sidewalk, with my mom trailing behind me, on our way to the local library, which was only three blocks away.  I am constantly in need of bookmarks. Two Disappointing Books I Started 2020 With :(

Hey there, My 2020 reading is not off to a great start, unfortunately.  Let's review the last couple of years:  2018 was a GREAT reading year- got it kicked off with The Marshking's Daughter by Karen Dionne. I am STILL telling people about this book, and recently bought a copy and loaned it out. In 2018 there was also another Pendergast book, my absolutely favorite thriller series by Lincoln Child and Douglas Preston.  2019 was pretty good, one of my favorite reads was Born a Crime by Trevor Noah- such a mind-bending and funny memoir. My True Feelings About Black Friday

I have very mixed feelings about Black Friday.  I was raised by a mom who absolutely DESPISES all the consumeristic bullshit involved with Black Friday. The ridiculous lines outside stores, the fights that break out over the hot product, the BUY BUY BUY insane energy involved with this shopping day.  Truthfully, I feel like people get waaaayyyy off track with what this time of year is about (granted, it should be a year long feeling...).
